After another close call while running, here’s my list of things for ALL road users to consider. In the end, it all comes down to patience.
Yesterday I completed my first Olympic Triathlon. “Wow” is a great word to sum it up. Quick breakdown: Swim 34:03.9, T1 3:42.8, Bike 1:25:56.6, T2 1:19.3, Run 58:41.7 Read more for a full recap.
Had an amazing training session today. Started with an amazingly gorgeous ride that included views of Central Coast wineries and then along the coast for stunning views of the ocean. While cold (by my standards), I killed the 35 miles in 2 hours, but that’s when the real fun begins. Quick removal of leg warmers […]
I only had an hour for my ride today, as I had a friend coming into town, so I focused on intervals and hit the road.
MontaƱa de Oro on a cold cloudy day. 27 miles of cadence focused cycling. So thankful for an early Christmas present of arm and leg warmers as it was COLD. Another humbling ride though as I attempted to catch up to a rider in front of me. When I finally did, I was shocked to […]
Happy to be back home from Texas and hitting the road. 28mile interval ride, 1 min sprints with 3 min 70 rpm recovery. Wish I could have gone longer, but things to do today. Got home last night at 3:30a, so getting up early was out of the question.
VftR: a pit stop at the Guadalupe cemetery provided a great opportunity for pictures. I know, this is the second cemetery this week. No particular reason, but there are great photos to be found. Total of 34 miles, with this break at about 20.
VftR: happy Thanksgiving. Thankful for cycling hill repeats up James Way and Prinz Rd. Thankful for calories burned to enjoy dinner. Thankful for everyone’s encouragement during training. Thankful for amazing weather on a SLO November.
No pictures of the road today. I went to the gym to get my training in. It’s not my favorite, but it has its place. Got on the spin bike for 45 minutes. So different than being on the road. No coasting No hills No scenery No wind In other words, not cycling. I did […]
30 mile ride with a race pace brick run. Rolled the dice on the weather and won!
