Bang! You’re Dead!

No not really, but we do play this silly game at work.
I’m often amazed that grown men and women are so willing to play these types of games; think “that’s what she said,” the circle punch game or even “your mom!” Most of these games, adults will never play in front of children, but remove all the kids and we adults have no problems enjoying these types of juvenile games. Is it that we’re all just kids at heart?
Maybe you think this sounds like fun? Well, read the rules then you can decide if it’s something you want to start around your office.
The Rules as handed down by Kyle: (edit 2/5/10 for “your dead” clarification).
To Play: You must be shot by someone that already plays the game (and is still alive) to be initiated, the next day you are able to play.
Lives: You get one life a day, there is no trading lives, and there are no medic’s or doctors or anyone else that can put you back in the game for the day. Your life resets at 11:03 and 59 seconds (modifiable for your work place).
Start Time: The start time is now 11:04 am (again, modifiable).
To Shoot: You must mock like you are holding some sort of gun, point it at the person you intend to shoot and make the sound that gun makes (zap, boom, twang, bang etc..) and inform them that they are dead. One noise and the “your dead” must be stated per person you’re killing. The name need not be spoken.
Line Of Sight: You must have a clear line of sight between you and your target, if you can’t shoot them with a spitball from where your standing you can’t shoot them. (Can’t shoot through walls glass etc…)
Audible: The person must be able to hear you shoot them, so if they are head down at their desk with heavy metal blasting in their headphones it might be a good idea to wait and shoot them later. This isn’t a shield, you cannot walk down a hallway wearing earplugs to be safe from being shot, it’s simply to keep it fair to people that need to put their nose to the grind
stone and work on a project. Also if you are unable to hear anyone else you cannot shoot anyone until you can hear again. Exploiting this rule is suicide.Shootout: If two people shoot each other at the same time or even close to arguable it’s a shoot out (think Jinx), you keep saying “bang your dead” until someone messes up or forgets to say it or is otherwise killed.
Be Respectful: Yes, you’re killing someone, and this should go with out saying, but if someone is on a call or in a meeting or doing anything where playing the game would not be appropriate please wait for it to be appropriate before you shoot them down in cold blood.
Now that you have the rules, maybe you’ll want to play too… Decide to start it at your place of work today! Or maybe, you’re just too old/adult now.
