God Speaks

Do not be concerned with the fruit of your action — just give attention to the action itself. The fruit will come of it’s own accord.
–Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now
As I read these words, I’m reminded about how I feel, that God’s presence can be seen in art and literature, not just in the past, but currently as well. While we (the Church Universal) can mostly all agree to that statement, I also believe that God doesn’t just speak through those proclaiming a knowledge of Christ. To some, this statement may appear heretical. I would, however, challenge you, as we don’t often know the true nature of someones belief, only what they have shared publicly. And let’s not forget, God says even rocks will cry out (Luke 19:40).
What are your thoughts to what Tolle says about the fruit of your actions? Does this agree or disagree with your beliefs in how we bear fruit? Are there other works where you have seen God speak, even though the artist/writer does not proclaim a belief in Jesus?
