I always enjoy heading out on a pub run. I mean, what’s not to enjoy. Going for a run, which I’m going to do anyway, with a free beer at the end. Throw in a pair of shoes to try out, and I’m always down. Last night’s pub run with Running Warehouse was hosted by Michael Marquez and the Creeky Tiki (Huge thanks!) with Nike bringing the shoes.
After another close call while running, here’s my list of things for ALL road users to consider. In the end, it all comes down to patience.
You know, 13.1 miles is pretty far to run. Yeah, I know people are running ultra-marathons now, but 13 miles is still a long way. I was reminded of just how far 13 miles is on Sunday during the SLO Half-Marathon.

Warm November tempo run. Stop and smell the flowers wherever you find yourself.
Heading out, I was warm from the jogs around the lot and was ready to get into my groove. Maybe it was the shoes, or maybe it was running with a coworker who is faster, but I felt like I had picked the pace up. As I hit the two mile mark, I noticed I had come out the gate a little fast, but still felt strong. The shoes felt great. They were light and allowed me feet to do the work.
It was dark and I think this witch needed a headlight. Getting in some miles before work.
